This story seems to be about a dog, but it is really about a
stupid boss. Use the vocabulary on the right to help you

A salesman (1) dropped in to see a business customer. Not (2)
a soul was in the office except a big dog who was emptying (3)
wastebaskets. The salesman (4) stared at the animal,

be surprised. This is just part of my job." (7) "Incredible!"

"No, no," (10) pleaded the dog. "Please don't! If that man finds
out I can talk, he'll have me answering the phone too!"
