Stories for Learning Vocabulary
You can use this idea, "Vocabulary Stories", alone, but it's much better to do it with a friend or classmate. The process is simple:
1) Make a list of vocabulary you have studied recently.
2) Make a crazy story using as many of the words as possible. (You can use a word more than once.)
3) Act out the story with your friend and listen to your friend's story.
Acting out the story really "burns" it into your long-term memory and helps your friend at the same time. When you are done, you can add any unused words from your list to your NEXT list for use in future stories!
If you like, you can send your stories to teacherjoe.us @ gmail.com and he can share them with other students as good examples.
