"A bird in hand is worth two in the bush.".
This means that you should be satisified with what you have, rather than to risk losing what you have in order to have more. It is a warning against greed. If you are greedy, you might not get the "two in the bush" and end up with nothing at all!
Discussion Questions:
|
1. Do you think greed can sometimes be a good thing? Why or why not?
2. Can taking the safe road sometimes be the wrong choice? When?
3. How do we know when to take a risk and when to be satisfied with the "bird in hand"?
