The answer is "To bake a cake you must break a few eggs.". This means that when you are doing something special, perhaps at work, you shouldn't worry if some people are upset. If you make them angry or hurt their feelings, it's like "breaking eggs" when baking a cake - a necessary step. This is an especially important lesson for leaders. They can't make everyone happy, but still have to get things done.
