"At the end of a rainbow lies a pot of gold.".
After rain, you can see a rainbow in the sky, a sign of hope. Providing even greater hope is the idea of a pot of gold that you can get if you follow the rainbow to the end. This saying can be used to encourage someone who is doing something difficult that may take a long time. You have to keep on going if you want to get the gold!
